Marianne is originally from France, where she trained in ceramic decoration at the Lycée Ganeron
in Paris for three years, and was then apprenticed to two professional potters for a further year.
For the past eleven years she has been living in Stow, where she works in the old howff, which she has
gradually been converting into a studio.
She now produces a distinctive style of stoneware pottery that takes its theme from the Scottish Borders
countryside where she lives, with an appliqué technique applied to traditional forms. Her sheep range has
become a favourite with tourists and collectors alike, while her depictions of Eyemouth harbour are drawn
from the more coastal areas.
Her work includes table, kitchenware, and decorative items, all of which can be
personalized.
